Black Canyon Wing & Clay is a private upland game bird hunting preserve, offering pheasant and chukar. We have more than 700 acres in Western Colorado - supreme bird habitat and excellent upland geography. Our club is surrounded by BLM land with desert vegetation. Our hard-flying birds stay close to the upland game bird habitat that we plant and maintain. Our members and their guests are always assured of seeing lots of birds that rival "Mother Nature's Own" in the type of cover that upland game birds inhabit naturally. At BCW&C, you will experience the very best bird hunting that you will find anywhere!

We grew up hunting pheasants in the Midwest. We haven't missed an opening day of pheasant season in Nebraska for 33 years! That means we understand pheasant hunting and hunters. Black Canyon Wing & Clay is dedicated to making our sport even better with amenities that you might find in an upscale, upstate New York resort.

We are in our 14th year with hundreds of satisfied members. Although we enjoy our growth, we have only a limited number of new memberships available because we will not grow our membership at the expense of our existing members.

We release thousands of birds on our property each year and because we are commercially licensed by the Colorado Division of Wildlife you do not need a Colorado hunting license to use our club. Traditional hunting seasons do not apply - our hunting season starts October 1 and goes through March 15 the following year. There are no bag or possession limits.

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation	As a member you will find: The very best, most explosive birds you will find anywhere! We guarantee that our birds rival "Mother Nature's," and you will see as many of these birds as you want. Never again will you walk miles and miles only to see hens that you can't shoot. When you visit us, and if you use one of our dogs but don't see any birds, the hunt is on us! Ideal upland game bird cover. Our fields are laid out for only one purpose: upland game hunting. Some fields are narrow strips of great cover, perfect for small hunting parties; others are large, expansive fields designed for larger parties or faster breeds of dogs. We have great dogs or bring your own! The best way to improve a great hunt with lots of birds is to hunt over a great dog - and we have several professionally-trained dogs eager to work for you. A wonderful venue for company events, parties, reunions and small or large get-togethers. We can help with catering and supplies or simply allow you to reserve the lodge and you can "plan your own." A first-class place to dress your harvest. Or, for a nominal fee, we will dress and shrink-wrap your game while you enjoy a refreshing beverage in our beautiful hunting lodge. A clay-target facility. We have a wobble trap and a 5-Stand that is ideal for wing shooting warm-ups or for a competitive match with your friends or family. In the near future, we will have a sporting clays course. A place to get warm while drinking a cool one after the hunt. After a brisk Autumn or early Spring hunt, our luxurious lodge is the perfect place to relax, talk about your hunt, compliment (or insult) your buddy's dog - in general, have a good time and plan your next visit with us! We always have lots of sodas for the youngsters. We love hunting families and know how important it is to spend time together and the kids started early. Flexibility. We are constantly expanding and welcome any suggestions from our members.
